shipping shipping Fix “Mismatched value [shipping]” on Google Merchant Center
Feed-reported shipping cost differs from what the landing page shows at checkout. Doesn't always block delivery but suppresses Shopping ad eligibility because users would see different shipping at checkout than in the ad.
What you see in Google Merchant Center:
Mismatched value [shipping]
API identifier: mismatched_value_shipping
Shipping mismatches between feed and landing page reduce ad eligibility without outright blocking. The cause is usually consistency between account-level shipping settings and what the site actually charges at checkout, or between item-level shipping and the site's real shipping logic.
The free-shipping-threshold case is common. Site applies "free over £50"; feed doesn't reflect that for items above the threshold; mismatch flags. The fix is the feed-generation logic reflecting site behaviour exactly — items above the threshold have shipping: 0 in the feed.
The systemic discipline: pick one source of truth for shipping. Either account-level shipping in Merchant Center handles everything, or item-level shipping in the feed does. Mixing both without tight coordination creates mismatches even when each path looks correct on its own.
Top causes
- 1
Account-level shipping settings out of sync with site's actual shipping
- 2
Item-level shipping in feed conflicts with checkout calculation
- 3
Free-shipping threshold not applied consistently between feed and site
How to fix it
- 1
Verify what the landing page shows
Add the product to cart on the live site and check the shipping cost shown at checkout.
- 2
Align feed shipping to actual checkout cost
Either update the feed's shipping value or update the site's shipping logic so they match.
- 3
Audit free-shipping thresholds
If 'free over £50' applies on site, the feed needs to reflect that — items above the threshold should have shipping: 0.

Missing shipping
Google can't determine shipping cost for the item. Either account-level shipping settings don't cover the item's destination, or item-level shipping is missing where required.
Read morePrice mismatch
The price in the feed doesn't match the price on the landing page. Google compares feed values against the live landing page and rejects items where the user would arrive expecting one price and see another. Affected items stop serving until both prices match.

FAQ
Does the shipping mismatch block ads?
Not always — it suppresses but doesn't outright block. Persistent mismatches stack up against account quality though, so worth fixing.
