condition data quality Fix “Mismatched value [condition]” on Google Merchant Center
Feed condition doesn't match what the landing page communicates. Common when 'refurbished' is in the feed but the page calls it 'pre-owned' or 'reconditioned'.
What you see in Google Merchant Center:
Mismatched value [condition]
API identifier: mismatched_value_condition
Condition mismatches happen when the feed declares one state but the landing page communicates another. Often the site uses "pre-owned" or "reconditioned" while the feed uses "refurbished" — different terms for the same concept that channels can't always map.
The fix can go either direction: align site language to Google's enum (new/refurbished/used), or align feed to site language while keeping Google's enum values. Most teams pick the feed-aligns-to-site approach because changing site language is more disruptive.
For mixed-condition catalogs (some items new, some refurbished), per-variant condition matters. Don't apply one condition across variant groups — each variant might have its own condition.

Site terminology differs from feed enum values

Mixed-condition products where the feed picked the wrong default

Old listings carrying stale condition from when the product was new
How to fix it
- 1
Align feed condition to landing page
Either change the landing page to use Google's standard terms, or update the feed to match the landing page intent (using Google's enum: new/refurbished/used).
- 2
Verify per-variant condition
If you sell both new and refurbished, the feed needs per-variant condition — not one default for the whole item_group.

FAQ
Does the landing page need to use Google's exact terms?
Recommended but not required. The page can say 'refurbished' or 'reconditioned'; the feed must use 'refurbished'. Google's classifier maps related terms when checking match.
