Hunch and our DPA Creative Editor both make branded catalogue ad images from a product feed. Beyond that, they’re quite different products. Hunch describes itself as a creative performance platform for paid social, with creative, campaign launch, insights and automation. AI Shopping Feeds is a product feed tool with a catalogue ad editor built in.
This comparison uses Hunch’s own website and help centre, listed under Sources, checked on 28 October 2026. Where we couldn’t confirm something publicly, we’ve left it out. If anything here is out of date, tell us and we’ll correct it.

Pricing
Hunch’s pricing page doesn’t list prices for its main platform. It says “pay for what you use” and invites you to request a demo.
Its newer self-serve product, Hunch Light, has two plans according to its help centre: Template Collections (Meta only) and Enriched Feeds (Meta, Snapchat, TikTok, Pinterest and Reddit). Price depends on the number of items ingested, with limits of up to 50,000 SKUs and $50,000 of Meta ad spend per billing period. Hunch Light has no time-limited trial, but catalogues and templates can be created without a plan.
AI Shopping Feeds publishes its prices: Growth at $29 a month ($279 a year) with 10 brands and 30 feeds, and Pro at $49 a month ($469 a year) with 100 brands and 300 feeds, both with up to 100,000 products per feed and a 7-day trial. The DPA Creative Editor is included in both. Rendering doesn’t use credits; background removal does, after the first 50 photos in each feed.
The editor
Both editors have dynamic layers and per-layer conditions. Hunch’s help centre shows text, images, video and colour as dynamic, with a condition on any layer, for example showing a percentage badge only when the discount isn’t zero. Its widgets include Percentage Off, Savings, a Countdown to an offer’s end, and a Schedule widget that shows a layer only within a date range or on repeating days.
Hunch also has an AI panel with background removal, dynamic colour taken from the product image, and orientation detection, which spots whether each product photo is square, portrait or landscape so you can lay each out differently. Designers can import Figma or PSD files.
Our editor has text, shapes, uploaded images, the product image and groups, with 17 placeholders including {{discount_pct}}, {{discount_amount}} and the five custom labels. Any layer can be shown only when a condition is true, one rule per layer. There are no countdowns or per-layer date schedules, but extra designs can have start and end dates, and the product photo layer has an optional Remove background switch. You start from 43 starter layouts or a blank canvas.
Sizes
Hunch’s help article on dynamic creative templates says that for DPA catalogues you can only use the square image format, while its Automated campaigns can use all formats. It also has help articles on multi-artboard templates for multiple sizes.
Our editor lays every design out natively in square 1:1, portrait 4:5 and story 9:16, and you publish one format per feed at a time.
Video
Hunch generates catalogue product videos from your feed, and offers slideshow and custom video modes. We don’t offer video.
Getting the images to Meta
Hunch has two routes. Enriched feeds give you a feed link to paste into the platform’s catalogue, with one image template per enriched feed. Hunch can also publish directly to Meta and Snapchat, and its Template Collections let you group templates and assign them at campaign or ad level, up to 6 image templates per collection on Meta.
AI Shopping Feeds sends rendered images to your Meta catalogue through our catalogue sync, or through a feed URL, and re-renders them when the feed changes.
Beyond creative
This is where the two diverge most.
Hunch reaches into campaign management: bulk launches from a spreadsheet, hyper-local campaigns with local pricing and offers, AI-driven product sets built from GA4 data, Autopilot, and cross-platform insights. Its catalogue rules can match fields, set values, change text case and find and replace.
AI Shopping Feeds reaches into the feed: import and scheduled refresh, rules, AI optimisation of titles, descriptions and attributes, a feed audit, and exports for Google, Meta and other channels. For Google Merchant Center, our sync sends original product photos. We don’t create or manage campaigns.
