Pricing

Marpipe’s pricing page lists, for catalogue creative:

  • Free: explore designs, preview generative designs, and launch un-enriched catalogue ads.
  • Startup: $199 a month, 500 SKUs, 1 channel, 1 market, 3 live designs.
  • Enterprise: from $999 a month, with SKU-based tiers, a design strategist and more channels and designs. Product-level video and countdowns are listed as add-ons priced by SKU tier.

Marpipe’s Shopify App Store listing shows Enterprise at $1,499 a month, and the pricing page offers 50% off Enterprise for the first year to brands spending under $50,000 a month on ads. Ask Marpipe for a quote for your catalogue size.

For feed management, Marpipe has a free DIY tier and a White Glove service at $0.05 per SKU with a $400 minimum.

AI Shopping Feeds has two paid plans, both with a 7-day trial and the DPA Creative Editor included: Growth at $29 a month ($279 a year) with 10 brands and 30 feeds, and Pro at $49 a month ($469 a year) with 100 brands and 300 feeds. Both allow up to 100,000 products per feed. Rendering catalogue ad images doesn’t use credits; background removal does, after the first 50 photos in each feed.

Building a design

Marpipe’s Ad Builder starts from a blank canvas, a pre-made template or a video slideshow. You drag feed columns, images and graphics onto the canvas, and text layers take {{column_name}} tokens. Column modifiers can change case, do arithmetic, split text and set decimals, and they can be stacked: Marpipe’s help centre uses them to work out a percentage off from price and sale_price.

Our editor starts from one of 43 starter layouts or a blank canvas. Text layers use 17 placeholders, including {{discount_pct}} and {{discount_amount}}, which are worked out for you on sale products, and the five custom labels. There’s no arithmetic beyond those. The only AI inside the editor is optional background removal on the product photo.

Filters and conditions

Marpipe filters at the design level. Each design carries filters, such as brand equals a value, and several filters combine with AND. A neat detail from its help centre: placing a field on the canvas adds an automatic “is set” filter, so putting sale_price on a design limits that design to sale products. Filters can be saved as product sets and reused.

We condition at the layer level. A sale badge, a struck-through price or a custom label ribbon can each be set to show only on the products that match. One design then serves sale and full-price products alike. Our conditions are one rule per layer, without AND or OR combinations. A feed can also have up to four extra designs, each with one rule and optional dates, and each product gets the first that matches.

Sizes

Marpipe’s help centre says each design renders only at the canvas size it was built in. For another size, you clone the design and change the placement size, then assign the sizes to separate slots for Meta.

In our editor, each design has square 1:1, portrait 4:5 and story 9:16 versions, and switching format re-lays out the same design for that ratio. You publish one format per feed at a time.

Video, AI images and countdowns

These are Marpipe features we don’t have:

  • Product-level video: a unique video for every SKU, built from frames, on Enterprise.
  • AI image generation: prompts that place products in lifestyle scenes, swap backgrounds or add models, creating a new image per product that can be used in designs.
  • Countdowns: a date countdown that updates as the end date approaches, as an add-on.

If any of these is central to your plans, Marpipe is the better fit.

Getting the images to Meta

Marpipe offers two routes: paste its output feed URL into your Meta catalogue, or upload to a connected catalogue. A multi-treatment feed keeps the main image and adds Marpipe designs as additional images, assigned to individual ads from inside Marpipe. Marpipe’s help centre notes that assigning a treatment moves the ad into the learning phase, and that those ads need Dynamic Media and Advantage+ enhancements turned off.

AI Shopping Feeds sends rendered images to your Meta catalogue through our catalogue sync, or through a feed URL, and re-renders them when the feed changes, such as a new price.

Feed management

Both tools go beyond creative. Marpipe’s free Feed Management tier covers managing fields, product sets and a Feed Score per channel, and its Shopify listing mentions attribute filtering, AI mapping, bulk editing and scheduled sync.

AI Shopping Feeds was built as a feed tool first: feed import and refresh, rules, AI optimisation of titles, descriptions and attributes, a feed audit and exports to Google, Meta and other channels. For Google Merchant Center, our sync sends original product photos, because Google doesn’t allow promotional overlays on main product images.

Which to choose

Marpipe suits you if:

  • You want video catalogue ads or AI-generated lifestyle images.
  • You advertise catalogues on many channels, including TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, AppLovin or ChatGPT.
  • You want countdowns.
  • You’d value a design strategist and a managed service.

AI Shopping Feeds suits you if:

  • You want one design that lays itself out for square, portrait and story.
  • You’d rather adapt one design per product with layer conditions.
  • You also want to fix and optimise the feed itself.
  • You need a lower monthly cost, or work across several brands and feeds.
